Vision: Bridge to a low-carbon future

Many people's vision for the future involves the use of fully renewable energy systems, such as wind, solar, geothermal and possibly other, as yet undiscovered sources that do not generate greenhouse gases. The widespread use of such energy systems is a long way in the future. It is generally accepted that we will need energy from fossil fuels for some time to come. Natural gas is the cleanest of the fossil fuels. CarbonSaver can make it even cleaner. Atlantic Hydrogen sees clean and abundant natural gas as a bridge to a low-carbon future.

The removal of carbon from natural gas by CarbonSaver prevents the conversion of that carbon to carbon dioxide when combusted. In addition, the burning of hydrogen-enriched natural gas (HENG) generates less carbon dioxide, and often improves the efficiency of the end use device. For example, internal combustion engine tests at Atlantic Hydrogen have shown a carbon dioxide output reduction of 8 per cent and an efficiency increase in the engine by 4 per cent.

The vision for Atlantic Hydrogen is for reduction in greenhouse gas output through the use of HENG from CarbonSaver, and for the advantageous use of the carbon output in a wide variety of applications.
